Authors

Rudolf H. Strahm, 73, is a well known acclaimed economist in Switzerland. He started his career with an apprenticeship as Laboratory Assistant in the Basel Chemical Industry, after which he studied chemistry at the University of Applied Sciences., in Burgdorf. Acquiring several years of experience in the industry, he then studied Economics and Business Sciences at the University of Berne, Switzerland. Rudolf Strahm worked with The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva and later with the Declaration of Berne. For 13 years he was Swiss National Councillor (National Parliament) and The Swiss Federal Price Regulator for 4 years. Now
he lectures on skill development and human resources management at the Universities of Berne and Fribourg. Rudolf H Strahm was honored with a Doctorate degree bestowed upon him by the University of Berne.

Bruno H. Geiger, 50, business economist, supports managers and employees across leadership and socio-emotional challenges, advises companies on how to develop inspiring visions and strategies for the future and how to implement these consistently at all levels. Bottom-up or top-down. Bruno is a practical, confident sparring partner and project manager with well over 25 years’ experience in various sectors (Insurance, Real Estate Management, Health, HR- and
Strategy-Consulting) at national and international level. Besides, he is an expert in VPET aspects and has built up an Excellent network throughout the international VPET community. He is founder and Managing Partner of the two companies: «Geiger Evolution Ltd.» (www.geiger-evolution.com) and «expect more international» (www.expectmoreinternational.org).

Since February 1, 2015, Prof. Dr. Cornelia Oertle is the director general of the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational and Education and Training SFIVET. She has held various lead-ership positions in Swiss academic institutions and public organizations. After training as a registered nurse, Cornelia Oertle studied at the University of Berne, holds a degree in Master of Health Administration and obtained her PhD at the University of Zürich.

Erik Swars is Head of International Relations at the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (SFIVET). He has had more than 20 years of international experience in education and vocational training and successfully realized various international cooperation projects with countries all over the world. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Tuebingen, Germany and an MBA from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
